In the state of Monagas, the delivery of a basic kit for laparoscopy to the operating room of the Simón Bolívar Hospital, located in the Santa Cruz parish of the Maturín municipality, was formalized, while in the Tabasca parish of the Libertador municipality, a new ambulance was delivered to optimize emergency care.
The deliveries of the above-mentioned teams, is an articulated work between the National Executive, the Government of Monagas and the local mayors, he reported on his Última Noticias website.
The coordinator of the Hospital and Outpatient Network, Delia Cedeño, delivered this instrument to the director of the healthcare center, Juan Alzuro, and to the general surgeon Hernán Espinoza.
With this reusable technology, consisting of scalpel sleeves, scissors, hemostatic and dissecting tweezers, separators, needle holders and aspiration cannulas, the medical center will increase its interventions from an average of 10 to 15 weekly to an estimated 20 to 25 patients, guaranteeing surgery with a minimum incision, lower risks and a faster postoperative recovery.
At the same time, to reinforce timely care in the Libertador municipality, Mayor Carlos Requena officially delivered a new equipped ambulance to the Tabasca parish. With this acquisition, the town has two operating emergency units for the transfer of patients.
This equipment completes the municipality's medical transport network, in addition to the three units that operate in Temblador and the vehicles assigned to the Chaguaramas, Las Alhuacas, Mata Negra, San José del Yabo, Mantecal and Aguclarita parishes, which work together with the “Dr. Ana Torrealba” Hospital and the Los Waraos Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI).
