Civil organizations from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia and Germany filed a complaint this Thursday against the multinational company Bayer for causing damage to the environment.

According to activists in Latin America and Europe, Bayer's “agribusiness” negatively impacts human rights and the environment in several regions of Latin America.

They indicate that the multinational is responsible for the adverse effects on the environment and life due to the use of genetically modified products based on glyphosate, such as seeds and agrochemicals.

The organizations argued that, despite the risks, the transnational company did not consider adequate measures to prevent and mitigate these effects on the environment.
